Men Should Gather to Understand God's Word

Nehemiah 8:13 (NKJV)  Now on the second day the heads of the fathers' houses of all the people, with the priests and Levites, were gathered to Ezra the scribe, in order to understand the words of the Law.

It is not difficult to get men to gather for a sporting event, or other social event of lesser importance. But an execellent purpose for men to gather is to read, study and meditate upon God's Word together. Many world issues would still remain unresolved, but your time would not have been consumed with the trivial and inconsequential because you would've spent your time on a higher and much nobler purpose. What can you do to entice men to gather together "in order to understand the words of the Law."?

Men are hurting in so many ways

Men need compassion, a helping hand, and occasionally a shoulder to lean on. Men can support one another. Men are called to stand in the gap for each other armed with the "sword of the spirit" and courage.
What can you do to help a brother?

How do you do it?

Where can you get help in time of need?
Where do I start?

These are a few of the questions you should be asking. No one should have to bear it alone.

God called holy men to courageously stand in the gap.  Ez 22:30

Later, God asked Isaiah, "Who shall I send?" Isaiah's response was, "Lord, send me!"

Today, God has committed unto us the Ministry of Reconciliation, and we are appointed Ambassadors for Christ. Many of our brethren, and we ourselves are under constant attack. Men need to stand shoulder to shoulder to encourage and support one another. Let us explore together what the Bible says and how to apply it. As men for Christ, we can stand together.
